I am Vivienne Herke, MSW, MA I'm a British-Canadian Psychological Counsellor who obtained a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada (2000) which built upon a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from McGill University, Montreal, (1998). In 2009, I gained a certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from Douglas College, BC. and I have taken various training courses in cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and psychiatry to stay up to date with the latest developments in the field.
I am currently a Counselling Psychologist in training as I am in a PhD program at the New School for Psychotherapy and Counselling which is affiliated with Middlesex University, London, (UK).
I am also a registered Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) , Membership No. 2011188786, a registered Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Membership and I adhere to the codes of ethics and standards of practice of all of these organisations. The Swiss federal government has recognised my social work degree and I have regular clinical supervision.
I have had a mixed career path in counselling, social work, law, marketing and HR moving freely between the public and private sectors over the last 20 years in a global context.
